CUPPING THERAPY Cupping is a type of alternative therapy that originated in China. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction may facilitate healing with blood flow. Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue. Cups can be made out of silicone, rubber, glass, or even bamboo and can be left in place or moved along the body. After your session, the cups may leave bruise or bruise-like marks on your treated areas, the color and pattern of the marks depend on the level of stagnation in the area, and can range from a bright red to a dark purple, the bruises for cupping can last for a few days up to two weeks. 60, 90 and 120 min treatments are available.
